SEBASTIAN BACH Explains Breakdown In SKID ROW Reunion Talks, Calls BLABBERMOUTH.NET's Comment Section 'Pure Misery'

Former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach was interviewed on episode 357 of the "Let There Be Talk" podcast with rock and roll comedian Dean Delray. You can now listen to the chat using the SoundCloud widget below. A couple of excerpts follow (transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET).

On SKID ROW:

"We were talking about putting a reunion [of the classic SKID ROW lineup] together, but we couldn't even handle a group text. [Laughs]. It was, like, after a couple of texts… fucking just… misery. [Laughs] I'm, like, 'Can we get in a fucking room? 'No. That's out of the question.'"

"How [did the reunion talks] start? I'm not gonna name names, 'cause Lord knows it's enough of a mess. [Laughs] 'Hey, we wanna talk about maybe getting back in the same room together. Let's see if we can do this.' [And I'm, like], 'Right on! This is gonna be simple, man. This'll be great.' And then I'll read on Blabbermouth the singer of DRAGONFORCE is the guy [they chose to sing for SKID ROW]. And then I'll text, 'What the fuck's up, man? Really? What happened with this?' [And they would be, like], 'Oh, no, no, no.' [And I said] 'Well, then why [doesn't] your manager call my manager?' So then their manager won't talk to me and they won't talk to my guy. So what the fuck's going on? And then there's gigs booked… We had gigs — we had like a whole tour this summer at all those [festivals like] Rock On The Range. It was all gonna happen, but then it just didn't happen. You would have to do an interview with those guys [to find out why].

"Another thing is, part of my sense of humor is, like, I'll say something funny, that I think is funny, that they'll take not funny. I mean, I could go into more detail, but I don't know if I should.

"The last contact I had with 'em, they did a gig down in Texas, SKID ROW opening up for ['80s pop star] Tiffany. And I didn't think it was true, 'cause somebody sent me a poster on Twitter. And I thought it was fake, 'cause it was '80s night — Tiffany, Flavor Flav and SKID ROW, with the SKID ROW logo on there. I go, 'This is not true.' So I sent it to ['That Metal Show' co-host] Eddie Trunk. He goes, 'That's bullshit.' So then I did a gig in [New] Jersey and this guy came up backstage. He goes, 'Yeah, I'm Rachel's [Bolan, SKID ROW bassist] best friend.' I go, 'Dude, please, can you ask him what the fuck is up with this?' Then the next morning I woke up and it was, like, 'You're ripping me apart to my friends.' And I go, 'Dude, I'm just fucking asking a question? Is this true, is this not true? I'm not ripping anybody apart.' I'm, like, 'Are you guys opening for Tiffany?' It's a question that I could maybe ask, being [that] when people see the SKID ROW logo, most of them think I'm gonna be there. So maybe that's something I could maybe address. That was the last contact I had with 'em. This is all happening at the time of the GUNS N' ROSES reunion, where I'm jamming onstage with GUNS N' ROSES. We could probably maybe do a gig with them — maybe. It could have possibly happened. But, again, that would require the completion of a group text, and that's fucking way too crazy. [Laughs] Like, agreeing on a thread of a text. That's impossible."

On BLABBERMOUTH.NET:

"You know, I like Blabbermouth — I do — but as the years go on, I realize that what they really like to do is start fights [between musicians]. But it's not what music is about — it's not about fighting. You didn't hear, 'Jimi Hendrix fucking whooped Eric Clapton's ass the other day.' When did you fucking hear that shit? [Laughs] But one of my favorite… 'Cause they've had me in quarrels with musicians, but nothing ever topped the headline, 'Bach Slams Pussy Sweet.' That was the best headline in the history of Blabbermouth. Say it again: 'Bach Slams Pussy Sweet.' You're fucking right he does. Every fucking night. [Laughs] I'm, like, 'Here's a good headline.'

"You know, they have this whole thing on Blabbermouth, the comment section, which is pure fucking misery. So sometimes I'll go in there and I'll just turn it into shit show — under my name, with a [Facebook] check mark and everything. Like, 'Meet me at fucking Chick-fil-A at fucking 2:30 p.m. Sunset Boulevard.' [Laughs] I'm just, like, 'Here's the medium. What do you do with this?' You can just read this shit. 'How's about I fucking respond to this shit?' But I don't do that too much."

SKID ROW recently entered the studio to begin recording the final installment of its "United World Rebellion" trilogy of EPs, to be released later in the year. The follow-up to 2014's "Rise Of The Damnation Army - United World Rebellion: Chapter Two" and 2013's "United World Rebellion: Chapter One" will mark the band's first release with the South African-born, British-based vocalist ZP Theart (DRAGONFORCE, TANK, I AM I),who joined SKID ROW in December 2015.

Despite having played sporadic shows with SKID ROW for a year, Theart wasn't officially announced as the band's new frontman until this past January.

Theart's involvement with SKID ROW was exclusively reported by BLABBERMOUTH.NET on December 31, 2015. He stepped into the group following the departure of Tony Harnell, the TNT frontman who joined SKID ROW in April 2015 as the replacement for Johnny Solinger, the band's singer for fifteen years.
